DevOps Engineer

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing, international fintech organisation for an experienced DevOps Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team driving the modernisation of a cloud platform, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and developer experience.

The Role

You'll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising a cloud-native platform on AWS, supporting the migration of services to ECS, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and improving platform reliability and scalability. Working closely with development teams, you'll help deliver self-service capabilities while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS-based container platforms using ECS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement and enhance observability using Datadog.
• Support, maintain, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, and platform standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience.
• Support incident response and platform operations.
• Monitor and optimise cloud costs.

About You

• 3+ years' experience in a senior AWS Platform or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong experience with AWS, ECS, Docker, and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
• Experience implementing observability solutions, ideally Datadog.
• Knowledge of AWS security, networking, and highly available architectures.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
